The Worship Ministry of Journey Church leads the congregation in worship through music every Sunday morning when the congregation gathers.

OBJECTIVE

Journey Worship exists to lead people to an understanding of who God is and what He has done by using the medium of music and thus teaching them how to worship Him in Spirit & truth throughout their everyday life.

GOALS

Our teams should always strive for excellence (not perfection) (1 Corinthians 10:31, Colossians 3:17 & 3:23). We define excellence as "doing things the best we can in a God-honoring manner." Henry Blackaby says "excellence generally describes tasks and tasks are usually a means to an end. People are the end." Because people are the end, we are committed to continually lead and equip the body of Christ so that people might connect with Jesus in a real and personal way.

INTEGRITY

Integrity is a major pillar of our team culture. It is important that we live in a way that displays Christ, not only on Sundays, but also throughout the week (Ephesians 2:10, 2 Corinthians 5:20, 1 Corinthians 12:27). Our personal lives off the stage will either lift up or tear down the vision of the church, as well as our personal character and reputations. You represent Christ and Journey Church everywhere you go. All team members are held accountable in the following areas: relational purity, healthy communication, and spiritual maturity.

After you contact us, we will send to you the following information for you to review.

STEP 1) Review the Journey Church Worship Handbook to get a better understanding of the mission, vision and purpose of the Worship Team at Journey Church

STEP 2)  Read through a Worship Questionnaire to see if you are in the right position in life to be a part of the Worship Team

STEP 3) We will plan and schedule a time for you to come and play/sing for us

STEP 4) Become a part of the Worship Ministry team and be assigned a position/rotation schedule
